Planning Sessions
Planning Session I - January 22, 2012:
The first Planning Session took place on January 22, 2012 at 9:45 a.m. in the fellowship room. There was a great turnout with many families present encompassing a wide range of ages. The youngest children played in one of the nearby Sunday School rooms while the young adults and adults participated in the session.

Led by our pastor, Kurt McPherson, the first session "Who we are and where we have been.") encompassed the history of Mount Zion, the demographics of the population of Central, why people don't attend church, and why people do attend church. (See below.)*

Some needs that were mentioned that will be addressed in the next session were: parking lot expansion, a playground for the children, more technology, and a mission statement revision.

The second session "Where do we go from here?" will be held on Sunday, February 5, immediately following the church-wide breakfast sponsored by the United Methodist Men.
* As discussed in Planning Session I, here are some of the reasons why people don't or do attend church.
